New committee members will take
office on July 1, 2006. Thanks to all current and
incoming committee members for their hard work and
dedication to the MO gymnastics community.
Bids are now
being accepted for Meets next season
If you are interested in
hosting either a Level 3 & 4 qualifying meet or
a State Championship – Fall or Spring, we need your bid
into the State Chairman by July 1st.
Bid forms can
be found on the forms page of our web site –
and must be mailed or emailed or faxed to Kim by July 1,
2006. All information relating to these meets is
included in the
Committee Meeting minutes of
3/10/06. Please refer to this for any
questions.

2006 is the year of fitness at USA
Gymnastics
Have you signed up for the Tyson Fitness Challenge?
Recently, USA Gymnastics announced the Tyson Fitness
Challenge and sent materials regarding this exciting new
initiative to all of the USA Gymnastics Member Clubs in
their marketing kits. Additionally, a website has been
created that can be easily accessed, and the entire
program downloaded (insert web address here).
This
year, we are paying particular attention to promoting
Fitness and believe that together we can make a
difference in attracting new business to our clubs
around this initiative. Tyson Foods has joined us in
this goal to help create a greater sense of the benefits
of healthy exercise and proper diet. Activation at the
club level is critical for us to be successful in this
undertaking.
The
culmination of the Tyson Fitness Challenge will be
National Gymnastics Day on August 5, which we have
themed "A Celebration of Fitness". Once again, we are
hoping to build on the over $500,000 we have raised for
Children's Miracle Network over the past few years.
We need
your help in promoting these programs and encouraging
your local gym clubs to participate. As leaders within
the USA Gymnastics community, we request your full
support and initiative to drive local participation.
At a
minimum, we ask that you please post the following in
your newsletters, do a broadcast email and post on your
web sites. Any feedback you can direct to the national
office is gratefully appreciated.
There is
absolutely no cost for participation in these programs,
and incentives are being offered including
tickets to the
2007 Tyson American Cup and a
Tyson Protein Party.
